Parliament Speaker Mohamed Nasheed has departed to India on an official visit.
Nasheed is traveling to India to participate in the seventh edition of the Raisina Dialogue organized by Indi's External Affairs Ministry and Observer Research Foundation.
Environment Minister Aminath Shauna join Nasheed on the visit. The three-day conference will begin on April 25 in New Delhi and conclude on April 17.
The Parliament Secretariat said Nasheed would speak on the effects of climate change on prosperous lives during the conference. Moreover, Nasheed will also speak on foreign debt and how it causes countries to lose their land.
During Nasheed's visit, he will meet with the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, India's External Affairs Minister, and other top government officials.
