"Touching the Colourful Yunnan, Carrying on the China- Nepal Friendship",a cultural night was held in Army Headquarter, Bhadrakaali in Nepal.

China cultural Center organised a cultural program including various musical and dance performances representing beautiful Yunnan co-organized by Yunan National song and Dance Troup with Nepal Chinese Education Association.

Yunan National Song and Dance troupe on ''Blessing''

Colourful Yunnan, a large scale ethnic song and dance gala, is an exquisite program that has been carefully rehearsed and presented by the theater. Combining the most representative song and dance traditions from Yunnan's ethnic minorities, including Dai, To, Tibetan and Hani, Colourful Yunnan features a twelve performances depicting Ethnic odes to joy, Yang Drums, Clogs and mountain drums, Awa in a sea of clouds and the fire festival. The aim of this event organisation is to reveal a diverse local minorities folk songs, dance, dress, outfits, uniqueness of both countries through cultural events.

Ms. Bhandari, President of Nepal, Mr. Chen Song, Ambassador of The People's Republic of China to Nepal and more than 500 representatives of Chinese and overseas Chinese attended the event.

The performances started with the singing of national anthem of both countries, Nepal and China.

Mr. Chen Song, ambassador of China to Nepal delivered a speech. China and Nepal have a history of friendly exchanges for thousands of years. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the traditional friendship and friendly cooperation between China and Nepal have continued to develop. China will continue to follow the concept of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness and the diplomatic policy of building friendship and partnership with neighbors, support Nepal in safeguarding national sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, support Nepal's economic and social development and improve people's livelihood, and work with Nepal to build closer China-Nepal community with a shared future.

A powerful chinese song presented by couple in ''Colourful Yunnan''

The Yunnan National Song and Dance Troupe brought the simple and splendid ethnic culture of the Yunnan people and the deep friendship of the compatriots of all ethnic groups in China to Nepal and to the beautiful Kathmandu.

The splendid dance performances left the audiences with an awe and soon showered applauds of appreciation. Their joyful dance performances each presented their cultural regard and respect for fire, horse riding, red fish, peacocks, further, their identity in respect to beautiful bamboo flute music along with powerful songs.

''Resham Firiri'', a nepali song presented by chinese group showing the harmonious cultural exchange, respect and acceptance between two countries.

Among all 12 performances there were two Nepalese performances, a cultural dance on "Paani Mitho" by Nepalese students and a music on "Resham Firiri" by Chinese group of Confucius Institute of Tribhuwan University.This performance's core and significant purpose is to bridge and enhance the understanding and friendship between the people of two countries through cultural exchange.
