Kathmandu, October 5th: The Chinese Embassy in Nepal organized the 74th anniversary of the Grand National Day on Thursday (October 4) at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Kathmandu. In the invitation, the Vice President of Nepal Ram Shah Yadav, the diplomatic ambassador for Nepal, people from all areas of Nepal, Chinese-invested industries and representatives of Chinese companies abroad participated in the invitation.
More than a dozen posters at the entrance of the banquet hall informed the guests about China's outstanding achievements since the founding of the People's Republic of China and the exchanges and cooperation between China and Nepal in political, economic and cultural fields.
Through each picture, the guests can see China's rapid development, social stability and continuous improvement in people's living standards, which has enhanced China's international image.
Chen Song, the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, gave a warm speech at the welcome ceremony. He said that Nepal and China are friendly neighbors connected by mountains and rivers and there is a historical basis for friendly exchanges between the two countries. The friendship between China and Nepal has existed since ancient times and the exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the political, economic and cultural fields have become closer. China is willing to work with Nepal to deepen practical cooperation and take China-Nepal comprehensive cooperative partnership to new heights.
In addition, various colorful activities featuring Chinese calligraphy, Chinese knots, paper cutting and Chinese tea art were organized to give guests a very comfortable experience of traditional culture.
