Every Year on the full moon day of Baisakh, known as Baisakh Purnima as per the Hindu calender, Buddhists celebrate Buddha Jayanti worldwide.
First seven steps Lord Buddha took when he was just born
This day is believed to be celebrated due to three main events related to Lord Buddha's life. It is regarded as an auspicious day when Lord Buddha was born on this day in an around 563 BC. He was born as Prince Siddharth Gautam in Nepal from the womb of Queen Maya Devi. It is also believed that it is also a day Gautam Buddha got his enlightenment after six years of hardship. Thirdly, after 45 years of teaching the Truth, when he was eighty, at Kusinara, he passed away to Nibbana (Nirvana) - release from the cycle of rebirth.

Buddhist all around the world today celebrates this day with great enthusiasm to mark Buddha's birthday. The date coincides with Penumbral Lunar Eclipse and falls on May 5 according to Georgian Calendar.
Buddhist celebrate this day by praying lord Buddha, remembering and reciting teachings of lord Buddha, meditating, chanting, donating and doing good deeds, conducting different blood donation programs and helping the needy ones.
The Tripiṭaka is the term used in Buddhism to refer to three collections of scriptures of Buddha’s teachings: Vinaya Pitaka, Sutta Pitaka, and Abhidhamma Pitaka. Vinaya Pitaka contains rules and stories about the Buddha and his disciples, Sutta Pitaka contains discourses on various topics, and Abhidhamma Pitaka contains detailed analyses of Buddhist teachings.

Seven teachings of Buddha Buddhist try to internalise this day are:
1. We are only responsible for own happiness and our own misery.
"Happiness doesn't depend on what you are or who you are. It solely depends on what you think". - Buddha
2. Mind your Karma.
"You can search throughout the entire universe for someone who is more deserving of your love and affection than you are yourself, and that person is not to be found anywhere. You yourself as much as anybody in the entire universe deserve your love and affection". - Buddha
3. Be a kind speaker.
"A man is not called wise because he talks and talks again but when he is peaceful, loving and fearless then he is in truth called wise". - Buddha.
4. Society is in your mindset
"Imagine that every person in the world is enlightened but you. They are all your teachers, each doing the right things to help you". - Buddha
5. Join the peaceful occupation.
" An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea".- Buddha
6. Don't expect from others.
" The whole secret of existence is to have no fear. Never fear what will become of you, depend on no one. Only the moment you reject all help are you freed". - Buddha
7. Concentrate on present.
" The past is already gone. The future is not here yet. There's only one moment for you to live". - Buddha
