After three years, Chinese tourists have entered Ghodepani,a tourist spot in Myagdi.The arrival of Chinese tourists, which stopped afterthe spread of the corona virus pandemic in March 2076, has resumed after three years.Meena Pun, Chairman of Ghodepani Hotel Management Committee, said that Chinese tourists came to Ghodepani through Tikhedhunga in Kaski in guidance of Nepal Wig Mountain Travels.
Tourists are welcomed by hoteliers, Society improvement committee, mothers' group and youth clubs in Ghodepani. Ghodepani and Punhil are located in Ward No. 6 of Annapurna Rural Municipality of Myagdi.Tourists have come to visit Ghodepani, Punhil, Ghandruk, which are part of the Annapurnacycle path.
Sujit Regmi, a trail guide of Nepal Big Mountain Travels, informed that the group will return from Ghodepani via Tadapani then to Kaski's Ghandruk finally resting at Pokhara.According to him, three more groups of Chinese tourists are coming to visit this trail.They came on a seven-day visit to Nepal on Monday morning to observe the sunrise, Guranse forest and snow range at Punhill located at an altitude of 3,200 meters above sea level.
Ghodepani-Punhill's favorable weather and the area covered with blooming flowers have increased foreign and domestic tourists. Accordingto businessmen, around 500 tourists have visited the place every day for the last one month.
Including both small and big hotels,there are 30 hotels in Ghodepani. Balkrishna Rana and Ran BahadurPun, a local from Annapurna rural municipality, have taken a contract for Rs 56 lakh 60 thousand including VAT to enter Punhil and operate a tea and coffee shop in Punhil. A fee of Rs 50 per person for Nepalis and Rs 150 per person forforeign tourists has been set for entering Punhil.
Dhaulagiri, Sisne, Gurja, Manapathi, Nilgiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Manaslu mountains can be seen from Punhill. Watching the sunrise is another feature of Punhil. Ghodepani and Punhil region has the largest forest of Laliguras of Gandaki province.
With the arrival of spring, the hills have become colorful with the blossoming of Laligurans. At the highest point of the hill, one can observe the beautiful view of the forest and hill topography of the Ghodepani Punhil region.
Around 300 foreign tourists enter Ghorepani every day in Kaski, passing through Tatopani from four checkpoints: Virethanti-Ulleri, Chomrong-Ghandruk-Tadapani and Nagi-Mahere , said Police Constable Bam BahadurThapa of Tourism Police Office Ghodepani.
