On Tuesday, June 5th, His Excellency Chen Song, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Nepal, visited Fewa Lake which is under preparation for the Nepal China Friendly Dragon Boat Race Festival, which is going to be held on June 8th and 9th. Along with the ambassador, the Secretary General of the Chinese Embassy, Wang Xin, also inspected the preparations. During the inspection, the Chinese officials took informationabout the initial preparations.

With only 3 days left for the festival, the beautiful atmosphere of Pokhara is becoming more colorful. 6 out of 8 groups participating in the dragon boat race are practicing at Fewatal for coming Friday and Saturday’s program. Construction of the stage for the race opening ceremony is also underway. Also, a stall isbeing constructed for the food exhibition festival which is scheduled to be held at the same period in order to exchange food culture.

In addition tothe race, preparations are also being made for the first international flight of the Pokhara International Airport, which is to be filled by We Chat Pay and Sichuan Airlines.
