Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, who was on a visit to China  to participate in the BRI conference, suffered a heart attack. According to the information provided by the Nepali Embassy in Weijing, Shrestha has a coronary artery blockage.

Angioplasty of his heart has been done. Shrestha's nephew Dr. Shitalkaji Shrestha informed that the operation was successful and his condition is now normal. Now he has been placed in the ICU at the Peking University Hospital and Research Center in Weijing with a stent.

He was admitted to the hospital last night due to chest problems.
