Northern districts, particularly Dinajpur and Panchagarh, were currently experiencing a mild cold wave, with Tetulia upazila in Panchagarh registering the lowest temperature in Bangladesh at 8.4°C on Thursday morning.

The met office, in its weather bulletin, forecasted the likelihood of moderate to thick fog spreading across the country from midnight to morning, persisting until noon in some areas.

This could potentially lead to disruptions in air navigation, inland river transport and road communication.

While night and day temperatures were expected to rise slightly, the overall weather conditions were likely to remain dry, with temporary partly cloudy skies prevailing over the country.
