Following the conclusion of the annual Hajj pilgrimage, a total of 5,920 Bangladeshi pilgrims have returned home.

As of Tuesday morning, 16 flights have arrived from Saudi Arabia, bringing the pilgrims back. The first return flight of Flynas Airline arrived on Sunday.

Out of 16 flights, 2 flights operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, 7 flights operated by Saudia Airlines and 7 flights operated by Flynas.

Upon their return to Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, pilgrims were facilitated through a dedicated customs zone.

Furthermore, each pilgrim was supplied with five litres of Zamzam water at the airport.

Airlines have informed that due to regulations imposed by Saudi authorities, pilgrims are not allowed to transport Zamzam water personally.

Instead, the airlines are responsible for the transportation and distribution of the water.

The Hajj took place this year on June 27, with a total of 122,884 pilgrims, including administrative members, from Bangladesh journeying to Saudi Arabia.

The pilgrims were transported by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Saudia Airlines, and Flynas Airlines.

Biman Bangladesh Airlines carried 61,180 pilgrims on 159 flights, Saudia Airlines transported 41,468 pilgrims on 113 flights and Flynas transported 20,236 pilgrims on 53 flights.
