President Ramchandra Paudel has approved the Bill 2080 to amend some laws of Nepal related to the Civil Code.

According to the office of the president, the bill, which was passed by both houses of parliament and submitted for verification, was certified by President Paudel in accordance with clause 2 of article 113 of the constitution.

The second meeting of the National Assembly held on Thursday passed the 'Bill to amend some Nepal Acts related to the Provincial Code', 2080. Earlier, the meeting of the House of Representatives held on Sunday, July 16, passed the bill unanimously.

The bill has been brought for the purpose of addressing the problem of meter's interest victims and punishing the perpetrators.
