Nepal trading Haylage to China will double Nepal-China export to 30 million US Dollar

Nepal and China make a successful inauguration for the first batch of Nepali Haylage export to China today through a program organised in Bharatpur, Chitwan.

This initiation of trading Haylage to China by Nepal is a positive step between two countries contributing and encouraging the agricultural sector of Nepal, also polishing the existing  friendship between neighbouring nations.

The event was completed in the attendance of Deputy Mayor of Bharatpur Municipality: Mr. Chitasen Adhikari, Vice Mayor of Shigatse City: Mr. Liu Huazhong (Representative from exporting company), Secretary of Ministry of Industry Commerce and Supplies: Mr. Madhu Kumar Marasini, Agriculture Minister Dr. Beduram Bhusal, Home Minister Narayan kaji Shrestha along with the honourable presence of Ambassador of China to Nepal Mr. Chen Song. The programme was initiated by the Deputy prime minister Narayan kaji Shrestha. Ten loaded trucks are sent to china today and ten drivers were also respected with khada by the delegates.

Ambassador of China to Nepal, Mr. Chen Song informs that according to the exporting company's prediction, the potential of haylage exporting from Nepal to China will uplift and double the export to 30 million US Dollar per year. As he mentions trade connectivity to be one of the five connectivities under the Belt and Road Initiatives to promote bilateral trade, he believes it to not only contribute Nepal's national economy but also an international cooperation.

Mr. Song foresights the co-operation to develope and modernise agriculture with prominent inclusion of science and technology in future's agro-industry of both nation.

Agriculture minister Dr. Beduram Bhusal finds exporting at least one commodity abroad to be a good thing when there is an imbalance in an international trade. He concludes, "Therefore, we believe that the development of this work will make a great contribution to the agricultural sector, as exporting grass to China is also an opportunity to reduce the burden of happiness and business".

Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha highlights that the trade deficit could be reduced by promoting the exports replacing the imports. He throws light upon the necessity of producing quality goods and services. He further adds, "In this context, Haley's export becoming a historical milestone can lead to a qualitative reduction in Nepal's trade deficit".
