South Asia Network TV Kathmandu, October 14: Asian Professional Achievement Award Nepal 2023 ceremony was held grandly at the Himalaya Hotel in Kathmandu on October 13. The award constituted participants from all Asian countries. Special personalities of the society who succeeded in transforming themselves from an individual to an organization were honored in the event.

Nepalese Prime minister Mr. Pushpa Kamal Dahal as a chief guest attended the event where he awarded more than 30 professionals of Asian countries such as: Nepal, China, Thailand, Myanmar, Pakistan, Malaysia of different industries including journalism, photography, healthcare, education and others.

Mr. Dahal expressed his heartiest congratulations to the successful personalities of South Asian countries who were honored with the Asian Professional Achievement Award 2023 and wished them continued success. 

Asian Professional Achievement Award Nepal 2023 is designed and aimed to recognize individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions in various aspects of business in Asia. Criteria for the award include an individual's professional achievements, leadership, innovative thinking and contribution to the community. This award ceremony is to give recognition, motivations and celebrations for their crucial contributions to economic growth through entrepreneurship.

Mr. Hou Zhihong, president and chief editor of South Asian Network TV(SATV), was awarded with Outstanding Media Personality Award - the best media figure award representing China. He was honored with the award for his continuous contributions as a Chinese in media industry, broadcasting to Nepal, China and other South Asian nations since deadly pandemic and natural disasters.

Receiving the award, Mr. Hou Zhihong expressed, "I am honored to receive this award. This is an affirmation for me and my team. We have been committed to providing high-quality news and information, and speaking well of China, Nepal and South Asian countries and spread friendship to help domestic and foreign audiences to better understand the countries of South Asia. I would also like to thank my team for their hard work and expertise that enable us to achieve these goals! At the same time, I am also very grateful for the silent support of every friends who helped South Asian Network TV grow and develop!"

A member of the second batch of Chinese News Agency, he came to Nepal in 2019 and founded South Asian Network TV in 2020, becoming the only Chinese language media in Nepal. SATV broadcasts daily updates in three different language Chinese, Nepalese and English around South Asian countries.

The media prominently and immensely seems active and contributing, in building smooth tourism and cultural sector relationships between Nepal and China. Growing to be professional and influential the media group also provides with informative online videos, digital advertising and others.
