SATV, Kathmandu April 24: The meeting between the Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal and the Emir (King) of Qatar, Sheikh Tamin bin Hamad Al Thani, who is on a state visit, has started at Solti Hotel in Kathmandu.
In the bilateral delegation-level talks between the two countries headed by the Qatari Emir and Prime Minister Dahal on Wednesday, overall aspects of Nepal-Qatar relations and the matters concerning regional as well as international interests will be discussed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
After the talks, bilateral agreements and Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) would be signed on the presence of the two leaders.
A MoU will be signed between Nepal and Qatar regarding cooperation in the field of youth and sports, higher education and scientific research.
Likewise, a MoU on news exchange will also be signed between Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) and Qatar News Agency.
Spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Bahadur Rai told RSS that the two countries are scheduled to sign a MoU on art and culture, office of the Attorney General and foreign affairs.
PM Dahal will host a lunch in honour of the Qatari Emir. Qatar's Emir Thani arrived here on Tuesday afternoon at the invitation of President Ramchandra Paudel.
The visiting Qatari dignitary is scheduled to leave Kathmandu this afternoon.
