Confucius Institute of Kathmandu University conducted a program of International Chinese Language Day 2023 today at Kathmandu University's Conference hall. This program is based on the theme of "Chinese Language:Facilitating Dialogues Across Civilization".
The program started with igniting the lamp by Chinese ambassador to Nepal, Mr. Chen Song and singing a national anthem of both nation Nepal and China.

Achyut Wagle, registrar of Kathmandu University(KU) focuses on number of activities KU conducts that highlights the Chinese culture, songs, music and other arts. He further congratulates China for successfully upholding combination of knowledge, technology, ancient civilization, history and heritage until this date which is very challenging task for a government.

His Excellency, Chen Song, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal praised on how Kathmandu University has been training thousands of enthusiastic Nepalese to learn Chinese by providing them training from many years, which is believed to have been contributing for understanding each other's culture and history well.
Mr Song added," China is willing to work together with the Nepalese to promote the high-quality development of Chinese language education". He conveys that China is ready to go together with Nepal to strengthen the development strategy.

In speech by Dr. Harish Chandra Shah, Chairman of Nepal Chinese Educational Council describes how learning Chinese language benifitted him to learn Chinese medicine consequently profiting Nepalese people in their health at the end. He adds China to be " an ancient nation full of vitality" and so is their language. He informs that Cultural Educational Council have hosted to work together with embassy to make Chinese an international language.

Dr. Bhola Thapa, Vice-Chancellor Professor of KU congratulate everyone for International Chinese Language Day, delivers that within 15 years of journey with Confucius Institute, request to send Chinese students in Nepal as well. Before that, he addresses how Nepal is also sending students to China to let born great intellectual figures like Satya Mohan Joshi who successfully published a book last year of poems of Chairman Mao on the occasion of this event, which integrated both culture.
