This year is a very challenging and test year for the global new crown epidemic after the establishment of the Association of Overseas Chinese and Chinese in Nepal!
This year, the Association of Overseas Chinese in Nepal, under the strong leadership of the Chinese Embassy and the care and support of friendly people from all walks of life in Nepal, witnessed a year of growth and hardship!
This year is a year that left deep memories for this young team!
At the beginning of this year, the sudden outbreak of new crown pneumonia caused the "Wuhan city closure", and the epidemic spread to all provinces, cities, and autonomous regions in China. The motherland and relatives are facing all kinds of difficulties and their lives are in danger. The hearts of the overseas Chinese in Nepal at the southern foot of the Himalayas are broken!
Soon, the new crown epidemic spread around the world, and Nepal is not immune to it. Starting at 6 am on March 24, 2020, Nepal has entered a state of epidemic prevention and anti-epidemic blockade.
There are many Chinese citizens who come to Nepal for short-term vacations and stay in various parts of Nepal. Employees of local Chinese enterprises and overseas Chinese in business are facing unprecedented difficulties. What should we do?
Anxiety, irritability, and anxiety fill the hearts of Chinese citizens who are stranded!
In an environment where the epidemic is spreading and the haze is overwhelming, we use wisdom to unite people's hearts and strengths, judge the situation, unite with the overseas Chinese in Nigeria, and overcome the difficulties together!
Like a glimmer of light in the night sky, we strive to illuminate ourselves with our hearts, care for our brothers and sisters with deep love, extend a helping hand to the Nepalese people, and dedicate a little strength to the family of the motherland with our sincerity!
Under the initiative of the Association of Overseas Chinese and Chinese in Nepal, the group initiated a fundraiser for medical staff who are fighting on the front line in Wuhan to fight the epidemic. A total of 107,848 (one hundred and seventy-eight hundred and forty-eight) yuan was raised, and the donation was promptly transferred. All donated to Wuhan Charity Federation.
In accordance with the spirit of the instructions of the Consular Section of the Embassy, our association will dispatch people and vehicles to deal with emergencies in a timely manner while doing self-protection.
Help stranded Chinese compatriots seek medical advice, solve their difficulties in life, and effectively protect the vital interests of stranded Chinese citizens.
Properly arrange basic requirements for food, accommodation and transportation for stranded compatriots, and take the initiative to comfort and help the compatriots with special difficulties.
Actively do a good job in the collection, screening and reporting of the information of the stranded personnel in the early stage; a solid foundation has been done for the embassy to coordinate the arrangement of temporary charter flights in the later stage.
Appointed by the embassy, it coordinated dozens of train trips to pick up and drop off Chinese citizens who were planning to return to China, and quickly, effectively and successfully completed the centralized operation of 346 compatriots arriving at the airport.
In order to maintain the long-term friendly relations with relevant departments in Nepal and promote the friendship between the people of China and Nepal, entrusted by the embassy, the association is led by the president Jin Xiaodong, and the vice president Chen Xiaoshuang, members Zhang Xinchong, and Gan Zhiming, etc., respectively addressed the Nepal Central Prison and The prison, Solakudi Police Station, Simbadul Police Station, and Immigration Bureau presented masks, protective clothing and other epidemic prevention materials.
Together with the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation, we organized a "China-Nepal Epidemic Prevention and Control Online Sharing Conference", which provided psychological counseling to more than 200 people stranded in Nepal and counseled on knowledge of epidemic prevention and control, and received unanimous praise from stranded overseas Chinese. effect.
Directed by Ambassador Hou Yanqi, the Association actively participated in the charity activities to assist the embassy in distributing free "health packs" to Chinese compatriots stranded in Nepal, including more than 1,300 "health packs" for epidemic prevention items such as masks, goggles and hand sanitizers. , Issued to stranded Chinese citizens and overseas Chinese.
The association's charity group also raised funds with the artists of the Xi'an Yaji Academy, and drove 8 hours to the natural village in the depths of the Chabrubech mountain to distribute food, money and goods to the poor villagers, benefiting 170 families. Each assisted villager can receive 25 kilograms of rice and 1,000 ni currency.
The association has organized volunteers five times to assist more than 1,000 short-term Chinese citizens in evacuation from Nepal and returning to the embrace of the motherland;
The association also actively handled many foreign-related disputes and conflicts between compatriots, and maintained the positive image of overseas Chinese in Nepal.
It's hard to list the big things and the small ones, but everything affects the heart of every Chinese. It is a responsibility and a mission!
