Vice President Faisal Naseem, on Thursday evening, has departed to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take part in the fifth Indian Ocean Conference (IOC).
The conference is set to take place from December 4th to December 5th in Abu Dhabi.
VP Faisal is attending the conference as the Guest of Honour. He will be delivering an address at the inaugural session.
The two-day conference will be inaugurated on December 4. A special plenary session is scheduled for the following day.
The theme of ICO 2021 is ‘Ecology, Economy, Epidemic’.
VP Faisal is accompanied by a high-level delegation from the President’s Office and the Foreign Ministry on this trip. He will conclude the visit and return to Maldives on December 8.
