Nepal national men’s cricket team will visit Canada to play the two-match Twenty20 International Series and two-match One-Day International Series before the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 games against Scotland, the Cricket Association of Nepal said on Friday.

The Rhinos concluded their US Triangular Series of the League 2 on Wednesday.

Sandeep Lamichhane’s side played two fifty-over matches each against hosts US and Oman in the Series that started on June 8. Nepal lost two matches, tied one and won one to move up to fifth in the seven-team League 2 standings, collecting 15 points from 16 matches.

Oman, who completed their League 2 campaign playing all 36 games, lead the table with 44 points. The US have played 24 games so far and sit fourth on 23 points.

According to a fixture unveiled by the country’s cricket governing body, CAN, Nepal will play the first T20I against Canada on June 28 and the second T20I the next day.

The ODI Series will take place on July 4 and 5.

The Scotland Triangular Series, which also involves Namibia, is scheduled to kick off from July 10 to 17.

Scotland, who have played 20 matches, are in the second position with 28 points. Namibia lie second from bottom with seven wins and seven losses from 14 matches.

The teams securing top three spots in the League 2 will book their places in the World Cup Qualifiers scheduled for June/July next year. The top five teams will retain their ODI status while the bottom four will go into the Qualifier playoffs.
