The Nepal Overseas Chinese Association has certified the Overseas Chinese Friendship International Hospital as a “Designated Health Protection Unit” and organised a listing ceremony claiming it to be as partner hospital in Nepal.
Overseas Chinese Friendship Hospital at Thamel was established on July 22, 2022. It is currently one of the few formal medical institutions that can provide barrier-free medical services for overseas Chinese living in Nepal and tourists from China.
Overseas Friendship International Hospital has state-of-the-art facilities with an experienced team of health care professionals specializing in various medical fields and surgical specialties, reads the press release issued by the hospital.
The founder of the hospital, Dr. Xia Chenchen,has graduated from the University of china and has taken root in Nepal. In more than one year, since the establishment of the hospital, he has won the attention of Chinese-funded enterprises and patients in Nepal with his superb medical skills and meticulous care for patients. At the same time, it has provided good medical services for a large number of foreign tourists and local Nepalese people.
Xia Chenchen has also been conducting telemedicine consultation services for construction workers of large Chinese-funded enterprises stationed in remote areas of Nepal. He also provides call consultation for primary care of patients out of valley and online consutants to the cancer patient fron Asia and Europe.
According to Dr. Xia, the Overseas Chinese Friendship International Hospital has been comprehensive multi-disciplinary hospitals such as emergency department, internal and external gynecology and other professional treatment. Dr. Xia has also mentioned that they have adopted better stratigies with the preparation to face the surge of pandamics, to be one of the largest multispeciality hospitals in Nepal.
All doctors at the hospital are certified by the Nepal Medical Council or equivalent, ensuring that patients receive international standard of care in Nepal.
