The heaviest rainfall last year was recorded in Hulhule’, according to records released by Maldives Meteorological Service.

The annual weather records released by MMS shows 2,105.5 millimeters of rain fell on Hulhule’ last year. The second heaviest rainfall was recorded in L. Kadhdhoo with 2,061.8 millimeters.

The heaviest rainfall in a single day was also recorded in Hulhule’ – with 139.6 millimeters on July 17, 2022.

The second heaviest rainfall in a single day was recorded in GDh. Kaadedhdhoo – with 124.8 millimeters on September 3, 2022.

Meanwhile, the hottest weather was recorded in HDh. Hanimaadhoo and L. Kadhdhoo. Temperatures rose to 33.8 °C in Kadhdhoo on April 24, 2022, and to 33.8 °C in Hanimaadhoo on April 30, 2022, and May 2, 2022.
