ICT Foundation Nepal has successfully organized it‘s first day Huawei Digital Nepal Conclave 2023 today which is powered by Yarsa tech and connected by Nepal Telecom(NTC) with a slogan of "Fostering Digitally Saksham Nepal" was held in Soaltee Hotel, Tahachal.

Prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal attended the ceremony as a Chief guest. Mr. Razan Lamsal, chairperson of ICT Foundation Nepal addressed the welcome of the program. Mr. Dileep Agrawal, Chairman of Worldlink Communication, Dr. Chang- hak Choi, Chairman Advisory committee of Seoul Digital Foundation and Mr. Lee Yung Sheng, senior Industry Solutions Expert of Huawei APAC, Dr. Krishna Bahadur Raut, secretary of MoCIT, GoN presented their research as a keynote speaker. Likewise many other guests also left their remark.

Mr Razan Lamsal, Chairperson of ICT Foundation Nepal informs this program is organized with an expectation of providing effective results in the field of Technological development in Nepal.

Documentary video was presented to describe the achievements about AI development around the world showing the optimum possibility of easy and standard life. The whole event was divided into three session, the first session "Setting the stage for Huawei MNC Digital Nepal Conclave 2023", the second session, "Laying the Foundation of Digitally Capable Nepal" supporting the infrastructure for digital capability'' and third session themed "Digital Citizen and Digital Governance“  speaking of digital governance in Palikas and provinces.

Honourable Prime Minister Prachanda's government has emphasized on developing the necessary infrastructure for Digital Nepal. He conveys," focusing on digital capability, government is also serious about the exodus of ICT sector's manpower. Though it becomes 20% more expensive, 1% of the total development budget is allocated in the field of innovation. The policy of using home's technologies, startup and innovation has also been allocated for this purpose". He reassures that government of Nepal is with us to advance in the field of technology in all sectors. He adds, ''necessary cyber security policy, start-up policy, E-governance, E-commerce law etc are the policies that is being worked on to pass as soon as possible''.

He speaks of revising the Digital Nepal framework and making it more up-to-date, as the government’s initiative to make the recognition of Digital Nepal worthwhile.

Rekha Sharma, an honourable minister of Ministry of Communication and IT in ''Fireside Power Samvaad’’ answers that  government's allocation of 1% of budget has given strong hope and support to improve the field of Information and Technology in Nepal. She welcomes the IT brains in order to increase the country's IT competence among Nepalese for rapid development of Nepal like the field itself.

Mrs. Sharma also expresses her grief upon the lack of good governance and finds digital governance to be a way to maintain good governance.

Further, she appreciates Rupesh Shrestha's suggestion on creating a data factory rather than just a data center in country to mobilize the sector well and also create possibilities among people.

‘’Technology create an environment conducive to sustainable development. To achieve this collaboration is key. We must foster partnership between government, private sector, civil society and academia. Then we can build a robust digital landscape that propels Nepal towards prosperity and digital inclusivity” says Purshottam khanal, Chairperson of Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTC).

First keynote speaker Chang Han Choi shows Korea's development of technology from nothingness of 1950s to 10 million people acknowledged about ICT in 2002. He regards that not just leadership but trait, spirit and attitude to change is key to change. "The future belongs to those who imagine not those who remember". He recommends that each ministry and social organizations level in Nepal has to prepare alternatives. Imagination is the driving force of innovation.

The Mobile Digital Congress was also organised in a side hall to let everybody learn more about the new digital products.
