SATV 5 May, Kathmandu: Former Prime minister and President of Nepali Congress, Sher bahadur Deuba reaffirmed nepal's commitment in one China policy. In a photo exhibition program organised by GP Koirala foundation for Democracy, Peace and Development, Hon. Deuba, highlighting the positive impact of friendly neighbour China in Nepal's infrastructure development , further pointed that the relation between the two nation has been strong even before the diplomatic relation as both the nations shared common dignitaries like Bhrikuti, Araniko, Buddhabhadra and Hiuen Tsan.
The Photo exhibition themed as ‘Legacy of Friendship: 70 Years of Nepal-China Relations Through the Lens’ and showcased numbers of photos describing the 70 years of mutual understanding, exchange of leaders visit and the cordiality of the two friendly nations. The exhibition was graced by lots of significant dignitaries like Chinese ambassador to Nepal H.E. Chen Song, NC leader and member of parliament Dr. Shashank Koirala, Senior Leader of Nepali Congress and member of Parliament Shekhar Koirala.
The photos in the exhibition takes back to the visit of former PM late BP Koirala’s visit to People’s Repubilc of China, similarly the visit of fromer PM of Nepal late GP koirala’s visit to People’s Republic of China. It reminds of stronger bonds between the nations which are connected not only by the Himalayas but also by the shared mankind. The visit of President Xi Jinping to Nepal, and other significant events were portrayed in the exhibition demonstrating the historic treasure.
Speaking at the program Chinese ambassador to Nepal Chen Song cherished the 70th anniversary of the two beautiful neihbour nations. He further, on behalf of Chinese Government, assured about the qualitative help for the development of Nepal. Commenting on the importance of the Photo exhibition, He stated, “Images and photos preserve passage of time and memories.” He further thanked Nepali Congress and other political parties of Nepal on contributing positively to regional peace and development.
The Chairperson of GP Koirala Foundation for Democracy, Peace and Development, Sujata Koirala , being grateful to all the stake holders in completing this program expressed her happiness. She opined in mutual growth building Lasting trust and peace with investment in technology and people to people exchange.
Leaders like Shekhar Koirala also talked about the strong ties between the two nations and uplifting of the relations with mutual talks and discussions.
The exhibition successfully met up the expectation of celebrating the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relation between Nepal and China and showcasing the combined history of both the nations.
