SATV 8 June, Kathmandu: A group of Chinese artistes who arrived in Nepal have performed the 'Nepal-Dolmaling Guqin Concert' in Kathmandu.
Six Chinese artists performed at the cultural performance (concert) organised at the Dolmaling Hotel in Kathmandu’s Bouddha on Thursday evening.
The traditional Chinese cultural performance was performed at the concert organised in collaboration with Nepal Guowang International Travel Agency.
A team including Zhou Tongsheng, Chao Lifeng, Deng Lizhu, Ma Yexin, Zhao Yanchun and Peng Jie from China came to Nepal to give cultural performance.
The team, which came to Nepal with the aim of promoting cultural exchanges between Nepal and China, is confident that it will be able to strengthen relations at the people-to-people level.
The team has been presenting Chinese traditional culture Guqin in various countries around the world, including China.
Chinese artist Zhou Tongsheng, who came to Nepal leading the cultural team, expressed the confidence that the Guqin, which reflects Chinese traditional culture, will contribute significantly to expanding relations between the two countries.
The Guqin instrument is a traditional instrument that has been played by the Chinese for three thousand years. The Guqin means a seven-stringed instrument. The Guqin has a melodious sound and a calm and beautiful melody.
