SATV, Kathmandu, Apr. 20 - The Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Eastern Theater Command on Sunday dispatched vessel formation 133 to transit Yokoate Waterway and conduct training in the Western Pacific, according to a spokesperson.

In a statement, Xu Chenghua, spokesperson of the PLA Eastern Theater Command, said the training is to test the far-seas operations capabilities of its forces.

This is a routine training organized in accordance with the annual plan, Xu said. "It complies with international law and practice, and does not target any specific country or entity."
