SATV, Kathmandu, Sept. 09 - The railway service between Nepal-India has been extended to Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, Banaras from Nepalgunj, Banke district from Monday. 

It is said that it will open a new gate to increase the trade in addition to the religious tourism.  

The railway service was jointly inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath  and Railway Minister of India, Ashwini Vaishnaw. 

Coordinator of Tourism Promotion Forum, Banke, Krishna Prasad Shrestha, said that the railway service will make the travel easy for pilgrims from Nepal to Ayodhya, Gorakhapur, Banaras of India and Indian pilgrims to Swarga Dwari, Pyuthan and Kailash Mansarovar.     

Coordinator Shrestha added, “Now it became easy to reach Bishwa Nath temple of Banaras, Gorakhadham of Gorakhapur, Ram Mandir of Ayodha for pilgrims of west Nepal. Similarly, the pilgrims from Indian side will also have it easy to come to religious places in Nepal”.

Mayor of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan, Prashant Bishta, said that this city will get a massive benefit from this railway service.   

He said that the railway service will boost economic development along with the religious tourism.
