Nepal Rastra Bank has appealed to general borrowers to have good knowledge about loan amount,interest and service charges. The Central Bank has alerted the general public to pay attention to the fact that banks and financial institutions charge additional service charges along with interest while investing in loans.

According to the bank's statement, "While using the loan, not only the interest for the loan, but also various fees have to be paid in various other cases."

"The central bank has further informed that the loan transaction should be done only after a detailed discussion with the loan granting institution". In addition, the central bank has further informed that "it is the responsibility of the loan granting institution to explain the interest rate and fees to the borrower in simple language."
