January 12th, 2024(SATV): A memorandum of understanding has been signed between Tribhuvan University (TU) and the University of Electronics Science and Technology of China (UESTC).
The agreement was signed on Thursday at Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur by Dr Shivlal Bhusal, Acting Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, and Jengyong, Vice-Chancellor of UESTC. Prof. Chiranjeevi Khanal, Head of the Central Department of Mass Communication and Journalism from the University and Professor Hanghong of USTC are the witnesses of the agreement.
After the agreement, Bhusal, Acting Vice-Chancellor of TU, said that it opened the door to various possibilities and expressed his belief that there will be close cooperation between the two universities in the future.
Professor Hanghong, the representative of USTC, stated that he would provide all possible support in the field of study and research, and said that there should be an exchange of knowledge and skills. Prof. Khanal, the initiator of the agreement, expressed that there is an understanding for long-term cooperation between the two universities and disclosed that the agreement will be useful for enabling mutual and academic cooperation based on the principle of mutual equality and mutual benefit.
The contract will end at five years of period. Along with the joint organization of workshops and seminars the agreement facilitates with the exchange of scholars, researchers, teaching staff as well as the students.
