SATV, Feb 09. Chinese New Year Parade in Thamel road gathered hundreds of spectators on the road from Chinese and Nepalese to other foreigners. High spirited Chiling Dance, Dragon Dance and Lion Dance were performed exuberantly today on  the occasion of Chinese New Year 2024 consequently after the lantern festival celeberation on Ratnapark on Wednesday.  

The event was organised by Chinese Embassy of China to Nepal. Leader and Deputy Prime minister of Nepali Congress Mr. Prakash Man Singh attended as a Chief guest of the event. Dragon robes, also known as gunlongpao were brought directly from China by embassy for this performance in Thamel. 

The performance was conducted in the streets of Thamel with the objective of sharing culture, happiness and boon of the new year to Nepalese friends. Dragon in Chinese culture represent fate, wisdom and power.
