Arsenal dominated Burnley with a resounding 5-0 victory at Turf Moor, maintaining the pressure on Premier League leaders Liverpool.

The triumph marks Arsenal's fifth consecutive league win, propelling them to second place, just two points adrift of the table-topping Liverpool.

The Gunners, buoyed by their winter training camp in Dubai, showcased their attacking skill in a goal-laden spree. The recent string of victories includes a 5-0 triumph over Crystal Palace, a 2-1 win at Nottingham Forest, a decisive 3-1 victory against Liverpool, and a commanding 6-0 demolition of West Ham.

Martin Odegaard set the tone early with a goal in the fourth minute, while Bukayo Saka's brace, along with strikes from Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz, highlighted the team's dynamic offensive capabilities.

Manager Mikel Arteta expressed his satisfaction with the team's hunger for success, emphasising their relentless pursuit of dominance. "The fact that the team looked like it wanted more. It wasn't satisfied. They wanted to score more; they didn't want to concede a goal. I'm really pleased to hit that consistency," he remarked.

Arteta highlighted the significance of maintaining their superiority over opponents, saying, "We want to dominate games and play in the opponent's half as much as possible."

He praised the players' threat, purpose, activity, and connections, emphasising the team's desire to capitalise on their current momentum.

Arsenal's clear dominance over recent adversaries is seen as a positive sign by Arteta, who believes it bodes well for their upcoming Champions League clash against Porto. The manager acknowledged the challenging environment they would face in Porto and stressed the importance of maintaining their current form.

A standout performer in this victory was 22-year-old forward Bukayo Saka, who achieved a remarkable feat by scoring in four successive top-flight games for the first time in his career.

Arteta commended Saka's consistency, maturity, and work ethic, saying, "At his age, it is something really strange to find, but it is not a coincidence when you look at him every single day. The way he trains, the way he applies himself, the qualities that he has. And he can do more."

As Arsenal continues their impressive run, eyes are now on their upcoming Champions League fixture, where they aim to extend their winning streak and make a mark on the European stage.
