Colombo, Feb 25 - A Chinese woman was arrested in connection with a fraud exceeding Rs. 8.4 million, Police said.

The woman was arrested in Kollupitiya on Saturday following investigations into a complaint received by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau on January 31. The complaint alleged that the woman had obtained the money for business ventures and had failed to return it.

The arrested woman, a 52-year-old Chinese national, is currently under investigation by the Colombo Fraud Investigation Bureau.
