Zimbabwe, Kenya through to Four Nations Football Tournament final

LILONGWE, March 24-- Zimbabwe and Kenya made it to the final in the Four Nations Football Tournament after beating their respective opponents, Zambia and Malawi, in semifinals played Saturday at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe, Malawi.

Zambia once led by two goals in the first half through captain Stoppila Sunzu and Clatous Chama, while Zimbabwe upped its play and leveled the score through Macauley Bonne and Walter Musona. As both sides failed to find the net in the second half, the match was brought into a penalty shootout, where Zimbabwe edged Zambia 4-3.

In the other match, Kenya sailed past Malawi 4-0, with Michael Olunga scoring a brace, while Ayub Timbe and John Avire also contributing to the scoreboard.

Zimbabwe and Kenya will cross swords in the final on Tuesday, while Zambia and Malawi will contend for third place.

The Four Nations Tournament is a FIFA sanctioned annual football league, on the sidelines of the recent Africa Cup of Nations to keep the teams engaged during the continent's main tournaments break.
