Fast bowler Mohammed Amir and all-rounder Imad Wasim are set to join the 29-member Pakistani squad at Abbottabad's Kakul training camp established in collaboration with the Pakistan Army.
As per the Pakistan Cricket Board, the training camp, where the 29 players are set to report today, is set to commence on March 26 (Tuesday) would continue till April 8 and will "focus on team building and aims to enhance the physical and mental strength of the players, ensuring they are in the best condition to face the challenges ahead".
During their time in the camp, experienced trainers and coaches will supervise the players' training regime tailored to elevate their fitness levels, agility, leadership strategic thinking and overall performance on the field.
The announcement comes a day after the board announced a reorganised national selection committee comprising seven members.
The selection committee consists of former cricketers Mohammad Yousuf, Wahab Riaz, Abdul Razzaq and Asad Shafiq, head coach, captain and an analyst.
