Colombo, April 30 - The Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAMS) today appointed a three-member independent board of inquiry to investigate into the tragedy at the Fox Hill Supercross Motor Racing Event on April 21.
While issuing a statement, the association said Chandana Liyanapatabendi PC will be heading the panel of inquiry appointed by the sports body to study the facts and circumstances of the incident, especially to inspect the surroundings and track. He will be with two other eminent personalities, Sanjaya Gamage, former secretary of the Bar Association and former Deputy Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) and Vijaya Gamage, former banker, lawyer and former president of the Colombo Law Society.
