SATV, Kathmandu, June 10: Through Nepali Eyes: The Practice of Chinese Path to Modernization, a travel memory book to China by Nepalese team, was successfully launched on June 10 by conducting an event, "Through Nepali Eyes: The Practice of Chinese Path to Modernization" in Kathmandu, Nepal.
At the invitation of ID CPC, a team of Nepali artists, journalists and businessmen have recently included in the book their travel memories of China. The book contains the experiences of the less developed autonomous provinces in the far west and south of the People's Republic of China and the balanced development according to the concept and plan of President Xi Jinping. The rapid physical development achieved by the CPC ranks by keeping the environment, culture and religion at the center has been attractive to the world.
“Modernization in China doesn't mean Westernisation”, said Mr. Hiranya Lal Shrestha explaining Chinese Path to Modernization. He added that Chinese path to modernization breaks the myth of Modernization equals to Westernisation in the global platform and shows achieving common prosperity through innovation.
The event's Nepalese delegates valorized their thoughts, their travel, their invitation from China and their amazing experiences of modern China today unlike their preconceived notions regarding China, it's development and Chinese vision to Nepalese. The programme included sharing of experiences by Nepalese delegations, travel memory book launch, description of the book "Through Nepali Eyes: The Practice of Chinese Path to Modernization" and some cultural performances.
The event was organised by Friends on Cloud: Platform of Influencers Nepal. Mr. Sovit Upreti, Chairperson of Friends on Cloud: Platform of Influencers Nepal gave his welcome speech.
Jibaram Bhandari, News Chief of Yoho Television shared his experience, "I found China way too different from what I had heard about them. Even the so called remote area of China, Sichuan had 12 lane roads and sky touching buildings".
A professor of China to Mr. Bhandari shared that Chinese were poor some few years ago and may face it anytime in future but their system of government from central to lowest unit is strong, ready and prepared to fight back the poverty to stand and rise if they fall again. He also shared shockingly unpredictable fear of Chinese regarding Nepal's political instability, guided and driven by external international forces.
Gyanendra Karki, a well-renowned Photojournalist of Naya Patrika recalled his visit to China during 19 Asian Games and described how the stadium and management of China created an impression of attending a game equal to an Olympics and clicking in an Olympic stadium.
Mr.Phulman Bal Tamang, General Manager of Nepal Television thanked Chinese communist party, responsible friends and teams to make the Nepalese visit to China along his, another treasure of beautiful memories in his memory bank.
Mr. Thakur Belbase, the editor of the book "Through Nepali Eyes: The Practice of Chinese Path to Modernization" shared his information of China, Chinese system and their morality. He explained the 11 days stay of their team in China, which had been taken on an invitation from Chinese communist party and managed by Mr. Soviet Upreti, expressed his astonishment for the greater respect, grace, simplicity and friendly nature of Chinese government member Mr. Sun.
Rajesh Kaji Shrestha, Former Chairman of International Chamber of Commerce, Nepal pointed that Chinese modernization model has been followed by the whole world. He further added,"we need to learn and practice the path of modernization to develop the Nepal in better way, through the experience guided Chinese experts". He focused, "The BRI (Belt and Road Initiative) projects of 14 borders connectivity of Nepal and China should be opened and regulated".
Resham Marga Sarara Sarara, a song was displayed to present the emerging new facets of deepening relationship between Nepal and China. The event was also entertained by cultural musics by artist Phulkumar Bamjan and Sumina Lo.
