July 2, Kathmandu: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Chen Song met with Nepali Foreign Minister Arzu Rana to exchange pleasantries. They agreed during Wednesday's meeting that bilateral cooperation between the two countries would further be strengthened.

Providing information about the meeting held in Foreign Minister Deuba's office, Mr. Chen Song stated, ' I am pleased to meet Honorable Foreign Minister Dr. Arju Rana Deuba. I extend heartfelt congratulations to her on her appointment as the new Foreign Minister.'

The Ambassador also informed that preparations are underway to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Nepal and China. He shares, "During the meeting, we reached an agreement to strengthen and enhance our multifaceted bilateral relations and cooperation. We are preparing to celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Nepal".

Previously, Indian Ambassador Navin Srivastava had made a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Rana for Nepal, while today, American Ambassador Din R. Thompson has met with newly appointed Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
