KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 30

Gold price in the domestic market surged by Rs 2,200 on Wednesday, reaching Rs 170,700 per tola. This follows a price of Rs 168,500 on Tuesday, indicating a strong upward trend in the market.

The significant increase comes after gold had recently peaked at Rs 168,500 on October 28, marking an earlier rise of Rs 1,500 from Monday's rate. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association reported fluctuations, with gold briefly dropping before rebounding to its new high.

Silver prices also saw a rise, climbing from Rs 2,105 on Tuesday to Rs 2,120 on Wednesday.

The upward momentum in both gold and silver prices reflects ongoing trends in the global market during the Nepali month of Kartik.
