SATV April 6, Kathmandu: Taplejung Suketar Airport has resumed its operations after four months.

Regular flights are set to resume from next Saturday, after nearly three and a half months of suspension.

Flights to Taplejung were suspended since December 13 after two aircraft belonging to Nepal Airlines Corporation were grounded. 

An aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation has started Kathmandu-Taplejung-Kathmandu flights from today.

Although scheduled for Friday, the flight was postponed to Sunday due to technical issues.

Kumar Gurung, an employee of Nepal Airlines Taplejung, said an aircraft of NAC has flown to Kathamdnu with six passengers (four male and two females) onboard.

The plane returned to Kathmandu after it failed to land as scheduled on Saturday, March 29.

Due to this, the plane carrying 10 passengers was unable to land due to low visibility.

The flight was terminated affecting four passengers taking flight to Kathmandu for treatment from Taplejung were affected.

Passengers from Taplejung, Panchthar, and Tehrathum fly through this airport.
