SATV Kathmandu Oct 10:The European Union Film Festival (EUFF) Nepal, an annual celebration of European and Nepali cinema organised by the European Union Delegation to Nepal, has opened its call for entries for the Student Film Screening segment of its 14th edition.

Aspiring student filmmakers and recent graduates are encouraged to submit their short films for this festival, which is scheduled for November 2025.

The festival will award Rs50,000 for the best student film, offering recognition and financial support. Submissions are accepted from students currently enrolled in a recognised film, media, or arts programme and recent graduates who completed their studies within the past 12 months. The deadline for entries is October 30.

This initiative underscores EUFF Nepal’s commitment to fostering the next generation of filmmakers, promoting cultural exchange, and strengthening ties between the European and Nepali creative sectors. Screenings will take place in Kathmandu and Pokhara in November 2025, showcasing the best of European and Nepali cinema side by side. For more updates, visit @euffnepal.
