The Moghbazar graffiti art will be formally unveiled by DNCC Mayor Md Atiqul Islam
The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has begun beautifying Dhaka's streets with graffiti art that includes awareness messages on the pillars of flyovers and metro rails.
A team of Dhaka University students have begun painting beautiful arts and awareness messages on the pillars of the Moghbazar flyover.
The Moghbazar graffiti art will be formally unveiled by DNCC Mayor Md Atiqul Islam on Monday.
A crew of painters were seen cleaning the flyover's pillars from the Moghbazar intersection to the Satrasta intersection and painting the pillars with white paint. The artistss have already finished the artwork on 10–12 pillars, working primarily at night.
They intend to paint the flyovers and metro rail pillars that are located in Dhaka North. DNCC aims to inspire residents to protect the city's beauty through creative program like this one.
On January 2, the DNCC authorities said that it will take action against anyone writing on public wall and hanging posters. Everyone was urged by the city corporation to abide by the Wall Writing and Placement of Posters (Regulation) Act.
If anyone violates the rules, action will be taken as per law, the notice warned.
