10 Parliamentarians to receive land plots from Male’

The list of land recipients from Male’ region included ten members of the current Parliament.

The government on Monday published on the Gazette, the list of those who will be receiving plots from the 5000 lands plots to be issued by under the administrations ‘Binveriyaa’ scheme.

Out the 15 members that represent various constituencies in Male’, eight members were on the list. The remaining two that made the list from the Parliament are spouses Addu Meedhoo MP Rozaina Adam and MP for Kinbidhoo Mohamed Nashiz.

The members who were on the list include five from ruling Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP), four from breakaway faction of MDP – The Democrats and one member from Maldives National Party (MNP).

Details of members on the list:   

-  MP for Maafannu West Mohamed Falaah (MDP): One person listed under him does not meet the requirements. He still has the opportunity to get land with another person.

- MP for North Henveiru Ibrahim Muizzu (MDP): His sole application received 69.16 points

 

-  MP for South Machangoalhi Ahmed Haytham (MDP): Joint form with three applicants who all meet the requirements. Received 79.69 points.

- MP for West Henveiru Hassan Latheef (The Democrats): Joint form with three applicants who all meet the requirements. Received 100.26 points.

-  MP for North Maafannu Imthiyaz Fahumy (The Democrats): Joint application with six applicants, out of which two do not meet the requirements. Received 76.18 points.

- MP for North Machanoalhi Mohamed Rasheed (The Democrats): Joint application with six applicants who all meet the requirements. Received 91.07 points.

- MP for Central Maafanu Ibrahim Rasheed (The Democrats): Joint form with three applicants who all meet the requirements. Received 72 points.  

- MP for Vilimale’ Ahmed Usham (MNP): Joint form with five applicants who all meet the requirements. Received 82.72 points.

- MP for Addu Meedhoo Rozaina Adam (MDP) and MP for Kinbidhoo Mohamed Nazish (MDP): Joint form with their child, all meet the requirements. Received 71.59 points.

The government opened application for Binveriyaa scheme for land plots to be given from the reclaimed areas in Hulhumale’ and Gulhifalhu, and the 4000 flats being developed in Hulhumale on June 26 of last year.

By the time the deadline for application closed on October 15, almost 36,000 applications were received for the schemes. This includes 15,164 application for land plots, 14,489 applications for three room flats and 6,208 applications for two room apartments.
