Nepal owns an impressive victory against Malaysia in ACC East Zone Cup by an outstanding performance from Nepali U-16 cricket team on Tuesday. Batting first, Nepal set a massive target of 253 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the 35 over at first inning but home team Malaysia got bowled out at 31 runs by losing all their wickets in just 14.5 overs.

Naren Bhatt scored a century for Nepal while batting. He played 89 balls and scored 112 unbeaten runs with 2 sixes and 10 fours. Abhishek Tiwari took 5 wickets and Santosh Yadav took 3 wickets for Nepal. Tiwari bowled 6 overs and gave only 7 runs with a maiden. Neeraj Yadav scored 47 runs, Suryanshu Koirala scored 18 runs, Santosh Yadav scored 26 runs, and Ashok Dhami scored 11 runs.

Malaysian team's Muhammad Akram took three wickets, while Arin Aquil and Muhammad Fadul Muin took one wicket each. Five of the Malaysian batters failed to open their accounts.

On Monday, Nepal had defeated Singapore, and Malaysia had defeated Hong Kong to set foot on th list of finalist. Nepal, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, the Maldives, Indonesia, and Thailand participated in this cricket competition at the beginning.
