Kathmadu, Sep 2: NOC Nepal Oil Corporation has fixed a new price of LPG(Liquid Petroleum Gas) cooking gas on September 1, Friday rising it to Rs.1895 from Rs. 1600.
The price has increased by Rs. 235 per cylinder and has been effective from Friday in the market.
It lastly had lowered the price rate to Rs.1660 at August 16 of 2023 from contemporary price Rs.1800. Customers had been paying Rs.1800 for a very long period of time and the government lowered the price to Rs.1600 after the fall in its price in the international market.
But again within a month the price hikes to a new rate of 1895 which concludes to be the highest price rate NOC has ever fixed of LPG yet without keeping any profit margin for corporation acc. to spokesman of NOC, Manoj Kumar Thakur.
Thakur claims the new price set for cooking gas is the highest in the history of Nepal.
At a meeting of NOC's board of directors held on Thursday decided to increase the prices of cooking gas, petrol, disel and kerosene which is the direct effect after the Indian Oil Corporation increased their prices as Nepal imports all fuel from India.
