KATHMANDU, Nov 2: The government is planning to prorogue the current session of Parliament on Thursday.
Top leaders of major political parties are preparing to end the current session of Parliament by addressing the meeting schedule to be held at 11AM on Thursday.
The government had previously extended the budget session until Dashain and Tihar festivals in order to approve bills related to Transitional Justice and Money Laundering. However, it appears that both bills will remain pending as the parliamentary session draws to a close.
The CPN (Maoist Center) Chief Whip Hit Raj Pandey said that according to the discussion held in Wednesday's working arrangement consultation committee meeting, the parliament session will end today.
