Nepal Signed MoU with Jiangxi Province, China for Mutual Benefit

Jiangxi Province Department of Culture and Tourism organized an event on Tuesday which aimed in introducing Jiangxi to Nepal as it extends its hands of friendship and partnership towards Nepal. The event named " Introducing Jiangxi to Nepal".

This day, an agreement between two sides was signed. Home minister as well as deputy Prime minister of Nepal, Narayan Kaji Shrestha and Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Honourable Mr. Salikram Jamarkattel, signed Memorandum of Understanding with Jiangxi province.

A population with more than 50 million, Jiangxi is a province of China in which GDP within ten years of the new era, has moved from 19th to 15th in the country with an average annual growth rate of 8.4%. Jiangxi is filled with cultural heritages as well as ecological scenario. A video describing Jiangxi as an ancient China to elite philosophy was presented to the attendees.

The event was attended by Ambassador of China to Nepal, His Excellency Mr. Chen Song along with Her Excellency Madam Wu Zhongqiong, Vice secretary of Standing Party Committee of Jiangxi Province, Mr. Ding Xinquan, Deputy Director- General of the Culture and Tourism Department of Jiangxi Province and Chen Changsheng Deputy Director General of the Commerce Department of Jiangxi Province.

His Excellency Mr. Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister, remarked, “China's achievement of eradicating poverty is one of the remarkable achievements in human's history. As a close neighbors we not only take a pride on rise of China but also are ready to take benefit by nurturing this multi-faceted relationship. This is the two entities realizing the national dreams by making an engagement for our mutual benefit.”

Mr. Ding Xinquan, Deputy Director General of the Culture and Tourism Department of Jiangxi Province expressed, "appreciating Jiangxi is delving into a time-honored history, where poetic charm and picturesque landscape as the province’s forest coverage reaches 63.1% ranking second in the country."

Chen Changsheng, Deputy Director General of the Commerce Department of Jiangxi Province denoting Nepalese delegates asserted, "I sincerely look forward to sharing with you opportunities of industrial upgrading in Jiangxi".

Honourable Mr. Salikram Jamarkattel, Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Nepal, reflecting on Bagmati Province’s richness on cultural and agricultural sector assured that "From the part of Bagmati Province government, with nation’s capital inherited in it, I would like to repeat that we would keep our words of being friends as a lineage of Manjushree, Araniko and Bhrikuti”. “ Jiangxi, as a recent developed province in agriculture, I believe we are yet to learn a lot from Jiangxi province and hope Jiangxi can play an important role for the development of Bagmati as well as whole Nepal’s agricultural development”.

His Excellency Mr. Chen Song, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, puts light on a possibility with Nepal and Jiangxi’s co-operation noting,"Nepal has numerous mines and minerals not discovered yet and jiangxi is famous for 160 types of minerals. So, I hope Jiangxi can cooperate with Nepalese minerals sector helping to make its proper utilization." He further affirms,"The friendship between China and Nepal is among civil citizens and China will always contribute to upgrade, strengthen and smooth-en the friendship through long term analysis."

Her Excellency Madam Wu Zhongqiong, Vice secretary of Standing Party Committee of Jiangxi Province highlighted future prospects sharing, "we can extend this relationship in trade, investment , education and believe there are still many sector for Jiangxi and Nepal as well as Jiangxi and Bagmati to cooperate on beside agriculture. China and Jiangxi province are working on industrialization. Let's deepen the relationship anyway possible.
