Kathmandu, Dec 26- Second China-Nepal Media Summit was successfully held in Lainchaur, Kathmandu on Tuesday which was attended by 42 Chinese organizations of Nepal including Xinhua News Agency, China Central Radio and Television Station(CCTV) , while 33 Nepalese mainstream media participated.
The program was organized by Chinese media, South Asia Network Television, Everest Media ( Hainan) Co. Ltd. in the direction of Chinese Embassy in Nepal. The event was co-organized by Nepal Chinese Enterprises Association and Nepal Overseas Chinese Association.
Mrs. Rekha Sharma, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Nepal gave her speech as a chief guest of the event. Likewise, Wang Xin, Charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, Mr. Bipul Pokharel; Chairman of Nepal Journalists Federation, Kishor Shrestha; Chairman of Nepal-China Media Forum and CEO of Nepal tourism Board; Dr. Dhananjay Regmi also attended the event.
Hou Zhi Hong, Editor-in-Chief of South Asia Network stated that the South Asia Network has also been committed to broadcasting the main activity of the Belt and Road Initiative project, tourism promotion and facilitating China-Nepal cooperation exchanges.
The conference was organised to put a light on the crucial role of South Asia Network TV along with other Chinese media in Nepal for the developmental projects of tourism sector, cultural sector, infrastructural development to the progress of people to people relationship between China and Nepal. The year long works were highlighted in the summit and the future plans on how it's going to participate today for future prosperity of both countries were discussed.
The event also celebrates the successful completion of 10th Anniversary of Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which has participants of around 160 countries of the globe by now. It is continuously working on “One belt, one road” purpose in the whole world.
