KATHMANDU, Dec 31: According to the Metereological Forecasting Division(MFD), Nepal today faces the influence of Western winds across the country.
It reads that the weather is partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions and partly cloudy to mainly fair in rest of the country. There are also chances of light snowfall at a few places of the high hilly and mountainous region of the country.
Currently, Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini provinces are experiencing partly cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country is generally clear. Additionally, low-lying areas are affected by fog.
As of now, Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Lumbini provinces are enjoying generally clear weather, contrasting with the partly cloudy conditions prevalent in the remaining parts of the country. Terai places are also experiencing foggy conditions.
The MFD forecasts partial to normal rainfall in the hilly areas later this afternoon, while the weather is expected to remain generally clear in other regions. Furthermore, there is a likelihood of light snowfall in select locations within the high hills and mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather is projected to be partly to generally cloudy in the hilly regions and mainly fair in rest of the country. There are possible chances of light snowfall at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous region of Koshi Province and Gandaki Province.
