Swedish striker Alexander Isak continued his red-hot scoring form at St James' Park, bagging a brace to propel Newcastle to a convincing 4-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in a Premier League match on Saturday.

Isak's clinical finishing saw him net in each half, extending his scoring streak on home soil to six consecutive matches. The first goal was particularly memorable, coming after Newcastle introduced "sound shirts" for deaf fans.

The first goal came after Isak received a pass from Gordon, cut inside, and unleashed a powerful low shot into the net. Captain Dan Burn even celebrated in sign language to acknowledge the deaf fans who could now "feel" the noise of the stadium.

Tottenham's Timo Werner had a couple of opportunities but failed to convert them. The Magpies enjoyed a dominant performance with Anthony Gordon and Fabian Schar also getting on the scoresheet.

Gordon added a second after capitalising on a Pedro Porro mistake, and Isak effectively sealed the win early in the second half with a well-timed run and composed finish. While a hat-trick eluded Isak, Fabian Schar added a fourth with a header from a Gordon corner. The striker remains the undisputed hero for the Newcastle faithful.

Despite moments of promise in Tottenham's attacking play, particularly from Timo Werner, their failure to capitalise on opportunities resulted in a chastening defeat.

While wearing number 14, Isak is proving to be a classic number nine in the making.

The victory was sealed in the second half when Isak scored again, timing his run perfectly to beat the offside trap. While he missed out on a hat-trick, his name was the talk of the town as fans left the stadium, celebrating a well-deserved win. On the other hand, Spurs were left to rue missed chances and a lacklustre defensive performance.

Newcastle climbed to sixth position in the table, leapfrogging Manchester United on goal difference. Conversely, Spurs dropped to fifth, falling behind Aston Villa by the same margin.
