SATV, Kathmandu, May 28: Chinese Embassy brought together the Nepalese alumni of, International College of Defense Studies of China People's Liberation Army National Defense University(NDU) in a reception held on May 28, to respect and honour their excellent contribution in Nepal army. The event highlighted the bridges between Nepal and China relationships concentrating on how the Nepalese graduates from China ended being the heroes of Nepal Army even before and after retirement through their profound knowledge, skills and training.
International College of Defense Studies of National Defence University (NDU) in China opens the scholarships for advanced military training and defense exchanges worldwide. It stands out to be only military training institution named by "International College" in the world. Numbers of Nepalese aware of it also successfully become a part of it by grabbing the opportunities in China.
A warm, friendly and festive reception for the collaboration and union of alumni of NDU, further fostered the meaningful international connections between two parties Nepal and China. Ambassador of People's Republic of China, Deputy Chief of army Staff, different generals and army delegates of alumni attended the event.
"Since 2000, a total of 44 senior Nepali army officers have received or are currently receiving the on-the-job training at the International College of Defense Studies of NDU" shared His Excellency Chen Song, Ambassador of People's Republic of China to Nepal further adds with pride, "they have held important positions in Nepali army and played an important role even after retiring, which become an important force in promoting national development and China-Nepal friendship."
Deputy Chief of army Staff, Ashok Raj Sigdel shares,"it is really very encouraging when one understands the philosophy of China. It is very hopeful for the rest of the world because win-win policy distinctly has no option to choose".
A video was also presented of their stay in China, Beijing that took the delegates deep down their memory bank while in their training, waking up the sleeping spark of the connections between China and Nepal.
