SATV Jan 21, Kathmandu: In a program held on 16 January for the farewell of representative of Xizang foreign Economics and Trade Association who conducted visit entitled “Trading Excursion program for the mutual benefit”, the tourist appreciated the efforts made by Nepalese to welcome them.

The program witnessed the presence of the renowned dignities like President of Xizang foreign Economics and Trade Association, Lakpa Thiley, Senior Manager of Nepal Tourism Board Sunil Sharma, Board member and representative of Nepal foreign Trade Association Madan Mittal, Press advisor of Minister of Foreign affairs, Nepal Yek Raj Pathak, Lalitpur Chamber of Commerce Executive Chairperson Sushan Maharjan, Representative of Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce, and other respected personalities.

The representative from Xizang were welcomed with the traditional musical instruments played in Bhaktapur and Lalitpur, for instance Dhimey baja which is traditional and is on the verge of extinction was shown to the tourist in the Airport while welcoming them along with that, special masala bodha was gifted to them which counts the important place in the ritual of Newari culture. “All these efforts were made just to make them convey the positive vibes and attitude of Nepalese towards the tourists and spread that vibe all over China”, said Amar Shrestha, Chair of B-line Travels and tours, who was accountable for the whole program.

While speaking at the program, chair of Xizang foreign Economics and Trade Association, Lakpa Thiley was overwhelmed with the love and warmth they got from the Nepalese people. He prioritised the quality of hospitality provided here, as one of the nicest among the many places he visited. He also stated Nepal as the amazing tourist destination.”We are so pleased and attracted towards your welcoming and intimacy, thank you for all.”,He Said.

At the program, The signing ceremony between ITEN NEPAL COMPANY PRIVATE LIMITED and LUO BAO HERBAL MEDICINE COMPANY, CIELO INTERNATIONAL COMPANY and CONG SE ZHUOMEI TRADE COMPANY and finally between KAMAL RUGS INTERNATIONAL COMPANY and DUI LA DA CARPET COMPANY was taken place. “The signing will further enhance the cooperation between the companies to take the tourism sector of both the countries as high as the summit of Everest.”, said one of the representatives.

Meanwhile, one of the finest bands of Nepal which has been working on the globalization of Nepali folk musical genre for a very long period of time, the Kutumba band hummed through the ears of the audiences with their beautiful melodies like saya thari baja eutai chaal, asaare mahinama, and so on. The songs of the bands demonstrates the beauty of Nepali culture and tradition quiet interestingly.

The program culminated with the hopes in growth of the tourism industry in Nepal with the belief of large number of tourist visiting Nepal from China. The program also concluded the positivity that representative are going to spread to China about the hospitality of Nepal and Nepalese people. This ultimately will further strengthen the friendly relation between Nepal and China.
