SATV 24 April, Lumbini: Lumbini Buddhist University (LBU) and Henan Institute of Economics and Trade (HIET) have officially launched a wide-reaching "Chinese + Vocational Skills" program in Nepal, aimed at preparing local students for future employment opportunities with strong language and professional skills.
The partnership, part of China’s “Dahe Workshop” initiative led by the Henan Provincial Department of Education, introduces a unique education model combining Chinese language learning with industry-relevant vocational training. The program not only supports China's Belt and Road Initiative but also contributes to Nepal’s skill development and employment goals.

The new base will offer tailored programs blending Chinese proficiency with practical training in a wide variety of fields. Students will sign a three-party agreement with the university and partner enterprises, ensuring clear employment pathways, guaranteed salaries, and cost-effective training.
