SATV 16 June, Kathmandu: Vehicles will start operating on the Gwarko Overpass in Lalitpur from the next four days, as the main structure of the flyover has been completed and preparations for operation are underway.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to inaugurate the overpass on June 20. Following the inauguration, vehicular movement will officially commence on the overpass.
Last Saturday, Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal, along with officials from the Department of Roads, conducted an on-site inspection and instructed preparations to begin vehicle operations.
According to Dip Barahi, head of the Department of Roads’ Quality Research and Development Center, the flyover is now ready for use after the installation of lane separators and road lining were completed.
Construction had faced delays, prompting Minister Dahal to carry out multiple inspections and monitoring visits to expedite progress.
